The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option for those looking for a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It gives a great mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features that include an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is set up it can begin cleaning automatically with just one button. You can choose a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger particles like rice and cereal. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some others do and can clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It's a challenge with plush or high-pile carpets however iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an advanced filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price cost.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and to tidy up your whole home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vac settings are just as effective as those on higher-end models and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only downside is that it does not have a second rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's a small price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than its competitors. Filling it up takes only two or three times, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the high-powered ones, generate minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. If it comes into contact with the wall or a piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and then moves along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is good at alerting you when something is in need of attention, for example, the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also design and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can also clean up spills that are wet but I would suggest wiping them dry using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you can wish for. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with a powerful suction to clean carpets and hard floors, plus the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also has an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, modern design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still quite large. It is more than two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Additionally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and voice assistant that operates offline, allowing you to control it even when you're not at home. It also comes with additional mopping modes as well as a smart routing feature which allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your house instead of just following a set path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested because of its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also excellent, and it increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It has a large rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a premium model that comes with a variety of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It can make detailed floor maps and identify different types of flooring. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are nice, but they also push the L10s into the class of luxury. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim, with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an impressive bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially acts as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The central control panel is the circular menu which lets you choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This allows the robot to vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4% debris from our robot cleaner test on hard floors, and removing all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops are efficient, clearing 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
